Your eyes might look at these floating faucets and think that someone photos-hoped the pipes away.
But if you look closer it's just a clever illusion. How do they stay flowing and where does all the water come from? don't scratch your head too hard. because this magical illusion has a logical explanation.
This spectacular effect is achieved by a transparent tube in the middle of the water column that holds the tap in place and, at the same time, keeps feeding it with water pumped from below. The water goes up through the tube and exits at the top. The water column, which is usually turbulent, effectively hides the tube from view.

Hellboy Arm Wrestler

At first glance image of this young man looks like a very clear case of bad photoshopping. Nope, this young man is not trying to impersonate the famous character "Hellboy". His arm is in fact very real. His name is Matthias Schlitte and he was born with a rare genetic defect that makes his right forearm bone 33 percent larger than his left. At 16 years old attended a local arm wrestling tournament at the suggestion of his mom and hasn't stopped since.
He is now 27 years old and is a professional international arm wrestler and also a commercial star.

One of the most famous kitties on the internet is - Venus the Two-Faced Cat. One-half is solid black with a green eye the other half has typical orange tabby stripes and a blue eye. Many reports about Venus refer to the cat as a "chimera." In mythology, a chimera is a mishmash monster made up of parts of different animals.  She has her own Facebook page and a YouTube video that's been viewed over a million times.

The Argania is a rare and protected species of tree. The tree produces an incredibly delicious fruit that attracts tons of goats and other hungry animals.

The Crooked House

The image of this house looks like someone was having a lot of fun messing with the photo. But this bubbly and wonderfully warped house is a real building. It was built in 2004 and is located in Poland. It was built by a design team known as the Szotynscy and Zaleski. The designers were inspired by fairy tale book illustrator Jan Szancer. For those who have seen the building in person, it is even harder to believe that it exists.

This floating creature would be the last thing on your mind when you and your friends go to the beach. Sure you expect sea weed to attack you or someone to dive under the water and grab your foot pretending to be a sea monster. But you definitely don't expect the largest mammal in the ocean to surf to the shore with you. Be careful that you might get chunks of whale blubber on you because whales are known to explode due to a large amount of gas built up.

Believe it or not, this extreme image is no optical illusion or computer trick. It is a product of professional motorbike rider Robbin Madison. He is known for jumping across an opened tower bridge in London and jumping the Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas.

• The Beale ciphers, also referred to as the Beale Papers, are a set of three ciphertexts, one of which allegedly states the location of a buried treasure of gold, silver and jewels estimated to be worth over US$63 million as of September 2011.

• The story of the three ciphertexts originates from an 1885 pamphlet detailing, treasure being buried by a man named Thomas J. Beale in a secret location in Bedford County, Virginia, in the 1820's.
• Beale placed the ciphertexts and some other papers in an iron box, which he gave in 1822 to a reliable person, the Lynchburg innkeeper Robert Morriss.
• Beale asked Morriss not to open the box unless Beale or one of his men failed to return from their journey within 10 years.
• Sending a letter from St. Louis a few months later, Beale promised Morriss that a friend in St. Louis would mail the key to the cryptograms, but it never arrived.
• Twenty-three years later, in 1845, Morriss opened the box, finding two plaintext letters from Beale, and several pages of ciphertext separated into Papers "1", "2", and "3". 
• Morriss had no luck in solving the ciphers, and decades later left the box and its contents to an unnamed friend.
• The friend then spent the next twenty years of his life trying to decode the messages, and was able to solve only one of them which gave details of the treasure buried and the general location of the treasure. The unnamed friend then published all three ciphertexts in a pamphlet which was advertised for sale in the 1880s.
• Since the publication of the pamphlet, a number of attempts have been made to decode the two remaining ciphertexts and to locate the treasure, but all efforts have resulted in failure.
• There has been considerable debate over whether the remaining two ciphertexts are real or hoaxes.

• In 2013, Elisa Lam Was found dead inside of a hotel's rooftop water tank.
• She had been reported missing at the beginning of the month.
• On Jan. 26, 2013, 21-year-old Canadian tourist Elisa Lam checked into the Hotel Cecil in downtown Los Angeles.
• On Feb. 19, 18 days after she was last seen, her body was found naked and floating in a 4-by-8-foot water tank on the roof of the hotel. She was only found after guests complained about the low water pressure in the hotel.

• One couple recalled that the water came out black and had a bad taste, but they didn’t complain at the time because they thought it was “normal for L.A.”*
• When Elisa first checked into the hotel, she was in a hostel-style shared room. She was later moved to her own room due to complaints from her roommates of “odd behavior.”
• Surveillance video was found of her the night she dissappeared, but it only caused much more confusion.
• The last time she was seen was on surveillance footage in the hotel elevator.

• She is last seen walking into an elevator and hiding as if some won is following her.
• She peers out the doorlooking for some odd entity that never shows its face.
• In the footage, Elisa is behaving oddly: She is seen darting in and out of the elevator and hiding in the corner…

• She also seems to have some sort of conversation in the hallway, though it’s unclear if it’s with an imaginary or real person.

• So, what does this tell us about Elisa’s death? Well, one theory is that Elisa was on some sort of hallucinogen. She was also being treated for bipolar disorder.
• However, the toxicology report showed there was nothing in Elisa’s system that could have contributed to her death.
• The other theory? Some believe that Elisa was actually murdered, though her autopsy showed no signs of trauma.
• So, if it wasn’t foul play and it wasn’t hallucinogens…what was it?
• To get up to the water tank, Elisa would have had to climb out of a window and onto the fire escape, or through a locked and alarmed rooftop door.
• Judging by Elisa’s state in the video, is it likely she could have climbed out a window, up a fire escape, up a 10-foot tank, and opened and then closed a 20-pound hatch behind her?
• Another theory is that Elisa, who was seen talking to someone on the surveillance footage, was actually speaking to serial killer Richard Ramirez. Ramirez was convicted of 13 murders and stayed in the Hotel Cecil from 1984 to 1985.

• And that’s not the only weird stuff that has happened in the Hotel Cecil. It was also home to serial killer Jack Unterweger, the site of an unsolved murder in 1964, and was supposedly one of the last places the Black Dahlia was seen.
• Numerous people have killed themselves by jumping from the building.
• So what happened to Elisa? The world may never know. And the real tragedy in all of this is her family may never know the truth of what happened.
• Police could never pinpoint an exact cause of death.

• On the second day of the 1972 11-day trip to the moon and back, command module pilot Ken Mattingly lost his wedding ring.
• It just floated off somewhere, and none of them could find it.
• Mattingly, perhaps worried his wife would accuse him of some extraterrestrial impropriety, spent his free moments desperately searching for the ring.

• Duke, Mattingly, the ship, and the ring were flying through space together at 3,000 feet per second, but in the absence of wind resistance, as Duke puts it, things just “move along together.” 
• So there they were, floating while really zooming along—Charlie watching the unrushed ring head to its fate in the vast darkness.
• But as he watched, Duke realized the ring was headed right for the back of Mattingly’s head. 
• The astronaut, unaware, was absorbed in his experiment when the ring hit him right on the back of the helmet, turned 180 degrees, and headed back for the hatch. 
• About three minutes later, Charlie caught it in his big gloved hand.
• It’s tempting to attribute the ring’s return to the power of love or fate or some higher power yet undiscovered.

• Indeed, once you start seeing these faces peering back at you, they start to appear everywhere. Some of these objects clearly bear a certain similarity to the emoticons we often use to represent feelings – the curved line of a smile and two circles representing the eyes.
• we tend to think that our eyes faithfully report whatever is in front of us, the retina records an imperfect and confusing image that needs to be tidied up by the brain. And Lee thinks this “top-down processing” by the brain is what leads to pareidolia.
• One way the brain makes sense of the mess is by making predictions about what we will see, based on our past experience, and then subtly projecting those expectations onto what we see. 
• One reason could just be that we see so many faces in our day-to-day lives, we’re expecting to see them everywhere. “Starting from childhood, they are the most common stimuli that we encounter in everyday life,”
