Louis XIX (Louis-Antoine, Duke of Angouleme), King of France and Navarre, was the eldest son of the Count of Artois (the future Charles X King of France) and Marie-Therese de Savoie.
After the death of his uncle in 1824, Louis-Antoine became the successor and his father’s heir apparent and when his father relinquished power on August 2nd, 1830, Louis-Antoine became Louis XIX, King of France and Navarre.
His reign lasted only a few minutes, 20 minutes exactly, between the abdication of his father and then his abdication in favor of his nephew, the Duke of Bordeaux.
