Near the city of Shiroishi in the Miyagi mountains, there is a fox sanctuary called Zao Kitsune Mura that is home to over a hundred foxes that are allowed to run freely with the entire village dedicated entirely to breeding, and taking care of the fox. They've also built tiny little houses for them.
