The three monkeys together embody the proverbial principle and their names are -
- Mizaru - covering his eyes, who sees no evil.
- Mikazaru/Kikazaru - covering his ears, who hears no evil.
- Mazaru/Iwazaru - covering his mouth, who speaks no evil.
